H. Paul Foster

General Superintendent

H. Paul Foster was elected General Superintendent of The Pentecostal Assemblies of Newfoundland and Labrador at the 48th General Conference, and began serving his office on August 1, 2002.

Foster has served in a variety of capacities since 1973 when he began his ministry at Little Heart’s Ease. He was ordained in 1978. His pastoral experience also includes Windsor Pentecostal Church, Grand Falls-Windsor; Seal Cove, Conception Bay; Glovertown; Little Burnt Bay; Springdale and Corner Brook. He spent one year in evangelistic ministry.

In addition, he served on committees in the former Eastern, Central and Western Districts. He was a member of the General Executive Committee, Executive Presbyter and, since 2002, Chairman of the GEC. He was or is currently involved in numerous other committees.

Foster is the editor of Good Tidings, the official publication of the PAONL. His “Connection” is a regular feature of the periodical.

Foster and his wife, Margaret, live in Paradise, and are the parents of one daughter and two sons.

Clarence Buckle

Clarence Buckle

General Secretary-Treasurer

Clarence Buckle was elected General Secretary-Treasurer of The Pentecostal Assemblies of Newfoundland and Labrador at the 43rd General Conference in 1992.

Buckle began his ministry at Cartwright, Labrador, in 1983. He was ordained in 1985. He also pastored the assemblies at Postville, Labrador; and Hant’s Harbour.

In addition, he served as Presbyter of the former Western District. Prior to assuming the position of Secretary-Treasurer, he was Director of Finance. He is now a member of the General Executive Committee and has served or is currently serving on several other committees.

Buckle is the co-author, with Rick Walston, of The Pentecostal Assemblies of Newfoundland View of Divorce and Remarriage.

Buckle and his wife, Wanda, live in Paradise, and are the parents of one son.

B. Dean Brenton

B. Dean Brenton

Executive Director of Church Ministries

B. Dean Brenton was elected Executive Director of Church Ministries of The Pentecostal Assemblies of Newfoundland and Labrador at the 50th General Conference in 2006.

B renton began his ministry at Bishop’s Falls in 1990. He was ordained in 1993. He also served in various pastoral ministry positions at Windsor Pentecostal Church, Grand Falls-Windsor; Jubilee Pentecostal Temple, Botwood; Bethesda Pentecostal Church, St. John’s; Pentecostal Tabernacle, Corner Brook; and Elim Pentecostal Tabernacle, St. John’s. He was Youth Director of the former Eastern District. Prior to assuming the position of Executive Director of Church Ministries, he was Provincial Youth Director. In addition, he has served as Adjunct Faculty with Master’s College & Seminary, Toronto, ON.

He is a member of the General Executive Committee and was or is currently involved in other committee work.

Brenton and his wife, Kelly, live in Conception Bay South, and are the parents of four daughters.
