David Newman, Director
If there is a word that best describes Young Adult Ministry it may be “opportunity.” At no other time in a person’s life does an individual simultaneously possess both the passion and energy of youth and the life-defining possibilities of adulthood. Our goal is to connect with young adults wherever they are – geographically and spiritually – and then encourage personal discipleship, teach them to engage their culture, and provide them with ministry opportunities in our province and around the world.
David’s ministry passions are missions, higher education and the mobilization of young adults to their calling. David, and his wife Deidra, have two children, Daniel-Caleb and Rasami. He has ministered in places as diverse as northern Labrador, Outport Newfoundland, downtown St. John’s, St. Pierre and Miquelin, Cuba, Thailand, and Malawi. The opportunities remain limitless!
Natasha Noble, Assistant Director
Natasha graduated from Master’s College and Seminary in 2002, and spent her first two years of ministry volunteering as Children’s and Young Adult Pastor in Bay Roberts. She also served in Pasadena as Assistant Pastor, focusing on Youth and Children ministry. She currently resides in St. John's with her husband Matt who is on the Pastoral Staff at Bethesda.
Mike Freake (Eastern Rep)
Pastor Mike Freake has been in full-time ministry for the past 15 years, most of which has been dedicated to youth ministry. He is currently into his ninth year at Evangel Pentecostal Church in Gander, and has recently transitioned from Youth Pastor into the Assistant role at his church. His is passionate about leading people into God's presence through worship and music and seeing people grow in their faith. Pastor Mike is Married to Jennifer (Rowsell) and they have two boys, Ashton (age 7) and Kaiden (age 2). His other passion is riding his motorcyle and spending time with his family.
