YOUTH MISSIONS
"Giving and Going"
For 2011 our Youth Missions dollars are being directed to two projects. Once again, we are supporting the Bradbury’s in Senegal, Africa. The Bradbury’s work at Dakar Academy (DA), a K-12 boarding school for missionary children. The school provides education to students from 20 countries whose parents are serving as missionaries, in 9 countries in West Africa. Paul is a computer technician and Paula is the librarian. They also assist with School projects such as village outreach and outreaches at a baby orphanage and local high school.
This year GYM (Global Youth Missions) is going to Labrador, our home turf! 11 teams (9 from Newfoundland) will be making their way to communities throughout Labrador in August. Each team will be doing ministry in their host community for one week, and travelling to Goose Bay for the first ever YC in Labrador. Your giving will make this dream a reality. Our goal for this year is $30,000, $15,000 of which is to support the ministryof the Bradbury’s in Senegal, and $15,000 to support the transportation costs of ministry teams under the direction of GYM, travelling to Labrador. pray and give together to help spread the message of God’s love throughout our world and province.
