Moira Brown
Keynote SpeakerMoira Hunt grew up in Peterborough, ON, the eldest of six children. For 7 years from 1974 to 1981, Moira produced and hosted. The Moira Hunt Show, a daily half-hour talk show on CKVR TV in Barrie, ON. In 1978, through the influence of a guest on the program, Moira came to know Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Saviour. Three years later in God's leading, she left her career and Canada for England, where she spent 9 months at Capernwray Bible School. In the summer of '82, Moira returned to her hometown of Peterborough and the radio/TV station (CHEX/CFMP) where her broadcast career had begun. Three years later, she followed the Lord's leading to Briercrest Bible College in Caronport, Saskatchewan, studying, teaching and doing radio production until she was invited to join the on-air team of 100 Huntley Street in Toronto in the fall of 1988. Seven months later on May 6, 1989, Moira married one of the men who hired her, Richard Brown. In April 1994, Moira took a mini-retirement from the daily 100 Huntley Street program to be home with her pre-school-aged children, Katherine (now 19) and Davy (age 18). Moira returned to national television January, 2006 as one of the hosts of 100 Huntley Street "Full Circle", a new program of special interest to women, seen every Friday.
