IMPACT: Men's Ministries Regional Retreats
April 23 – 24, 2010—Bethel Pentecostal Church, St. AnthonyOur second spring retreat is scheduled for the weekend of April 23-24, 2010 in St. Anthony. This retreat is planned for presbyteries 10, 11 & 12 but is open to men from any area of our province.
This retreat will feature many of the traditional favourites of our retreat goers, fellowship, food, fun, singspiration, even a late night singalong as well as great preaching and lots of opportunity for men to meet with God.
We are pleased to have a three speakers sharing the word at this retreat:
- Pastor Kerry Northcotte of the Port Saunders Assembly
- Pastor Hayward Primmer who Pastors in St. Lunaire- Griquet
- Pastor Bill Cole, the Provincial Men’s Ministry Director will be the third speaker.
In order for this retreat to be successful we need all men who plan to attend to register in advance of the retreat. Registration is necessary so that the planning committee can know how many to prepare for and ensure appropriate provisions are made, so plan early to attend and get your registration sent in on time. Registration cost again this year is $25.00 and includes the cost of snacks, meals, promotion and the speaker, so please get registered early.
We will collecting a special offering for Cornerstone Ministry Centre, our home Missions Church in downtown St. John’s. They have recently acquired a new facility and it requires some renovations to make it functional and the area we want to help out with is the kitchen. Cornerstone operates a soup kitchen style ministry to people who need a hot meal, and our offering will help renovate the kitchen to facilitate this vital ministry. Please come prepared to give to this important project.
The church will be available for sleeping, but you need to bring your own sleeping gear, limited billeting may also be available or you can use the local hotels. Please indicate on the sign up sheet your sleeping intentions.
We are anticipating a great time at the retreat and we want as many men as possible to attend. Even if your church does not have an active men’s ministries group, why not get a group of men together and join us at the retreat, you’ll be glad you did.
Registration deadline is set for Monday, April 19, 2010, your registration forms and a cheque made payable to the host assembly needs to sent by registration deadline. Host assembly information is provided below.
