Women's Ministries 2010 Spring Retreats Report

The Pentecostal Assemblies of Newfoundland and Labrador have amazing women among them. The Provincial Women’s Ministries Lead Team are glad to report that the Spring Retreats were a great success. Ladies from across our province had opportunity in April and May to gather at the spring retreat hosted in their area. As the numbers poured in from the various retreats, our hearts were thrilled as we seen the desire and hunger of the women of this province in the area of Women’s Ministries.

Each area that hosted a retreat reported that the Worship and the Word was amazing as the ladies were challenged to go ‘beyond themselves’ as we are on this journey for God. The worship leaders, the speakers, special singing, the altar times and the reports of God’s faithfulness was evident in all the reports. One area had to close their registration because there wasn’t enough room to take any more. God is truly moving among the women.

Labrador hosted a spring retreat this year in Happy Valley- Goose Bay with 120 women from various communities in Labrador attending. Recognizing the demographics of Labrador and the expense involved in travel, we give God thanks for each one who were able to attend.

Bishop’s Falls - 310 (Retreat Rep: Kim Foster)

Corner Brook - 185 (Retreat Rep: Linda Doucette)

Griquet - 123 (Retreat Rep: Joy Baker)

Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Labrador (126 - Retreat Rep: Catherine Snow)

The total ladies that were reported as registered at our Spring Retreats this year is1,299. We give God the glory for what He is doing among our women.

A special thank you to all those who were involved in making these Retreats such a great success. A word of appreciation and thanks to all our Retreat Reps for their planning and work with the host churches. Looking forward to what God has in store in September as we gather in Lewisporte for our 2010 Provincial Convention. Hope to see you there!
