TyndaleTyndale University College is a transdenominational, evangelical Christian community of scholar-teacher-mentors offering undergraduate degrees in the arts, social sciences and professional studies. It is located in a multicultural, urban context and is heir to more than a century's commitment to Christian education.

At a special session of the General Conference in June 2007 Tyndale Unversity was endorsed as the official Theological Training Institution for the PAONL.

Admissions Counselor: Peter Newman

Peter-Daniel Newman is the "Admission Counselor" for Tyndale University. 

Peter is a graduate of Memorial University of Newfoundland (B.A. in English and History), St. Francis Xavier University, Antigonish, NS (B.A. in Music) and Trevecca Nazarene University, Nashville, TN (M.A. in Religion). He taught Music at Louisburg (NC) Elementary School and high school at Franklin Christian Academy, Brentwood, TN. He worked in the Nashville music industry as a songwriter, musician and producer, with songs published with Universal Music Group, Black Top Publishing, Montana Music and Spring Hill Publishing. He co-produced a church worship project for Michael W. Smith’s New River Fellowship Church. Peter currently lives in St. John’s, where he is a Canadian Scholarship Trust Sales Representative.

As the Admissions Counselor, Peter will be responsible for identifying and recruiting potential students for Tyndale University College & Seminary from Newfoundland and Labrador. This includes creating and implementing an action plan, traveling to churches, high schools and other events to recruit students, communicating directly with potential students and their influencers and working with internal and external contacts to meet recruitment goals.

Peter will be visiting major PAONL functions throughout 2008 and is available to make presentations to presbyteries and local churches. Peter can be contacted at the following numbers:

Director of Pentecostal Studies:  Bradley Truman Noel

The Pentecostal Assemblies of Newfoundland and Labrador, in conjunction with the Pentecostal Studies Steering Committee, joins the Board of Governors, Academic Affairs Committee and Faculty of Tyndale University College & Seminary, Toronto, ON, in announcing Bradley Truman Noel as the Director of Pentecostal Studies.

Bradley Truman Noel was raised in Springdale, NL, and is married to Melinda Roberts of Triton, NL. Brad entered full-time ministry in 1998, was ordained by the PAONL in 2000 Brad Noeland has ministered as Assistant, Youth and Music Pastor at Christian Community Church, Calgary, AB, and the Pentecostal Church, Springdale. He currently serves as the Director of Pentecostal Studies / Assistant Professor of Christian Ministries with Tyndale University College, and as the Director of Discipleship for the PAONL.  Dr. Noel holds a B.A. in Religious Studies (Memorial University of Newfoundland, St. John’s), M.Div. in Pastoral Theology (Acadia University, Wolfville, NS), M.A. in Pentecostal Theology/History (Acadia University) and Th.D. in Practical Theology (University of South Africa, Pretoria). His doctoral dissertation was entitled "Pentecostal Hermeneutics and the Postmodern." He was a Bible College Professor with Master’s College and Seminary (Toronto, ON), and serves as adjunct faculty with International Biblical Online Leadership Training (Edmonton, AB) and Acadia University Faculty of Theology. His life’s calling and passion are to teach the Word of God to God’s people, helping to disciple them into spiritually mature men and women. 

As the Director of Pentecostal Studies, Brad will be a member of the faculty of the University College. He will teach within the Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Religious Education degree program in the newly-developed Pentecostal stream. He will also be responsible for the coordination of this program stream in consultation with the Academic Dean.
